I founded this
home automation business in 2003 after several years as a sales application engineer in the industrial automation
industry and an engineering manager in a commercial computer network environment. My electrical engineering degree as well
as the rigorous standards required to implement computerized control in industry gave me a strong background for this business.
Initially focused on networking, audio distribution, and computerized lighting control in 2003, we transitioned to
the home theater market in 2004, as high definition projection systems and exacting surround sound packages moved into
demand.
Within 18 months, with Vantage serving as the central control system allowing us to integrate
all disciplines (lighting, heating, audio, video, operator interface, and camera systems), we began to take on more complex
and exciting projects in the home.
Today, we also focus on energy efficiency. We utilize the computerized
load-shedding and sunlight control (via motorized blinds and shades). The home owner has access to an energy dashboard
that allows monitoring and control of all energy usage.
We have contracted residential jobs for $1,500 and
for $230,000, and installed systems in 2,000 square foot homes and 6,800 square foot mansions. No job is too large or
small, as we are able to scale our resources as needed.
